Soit nn un nombre entier naturel.
On pose :
Sn=∑k=0narctan⁡(11+k+k2)S_n = \sum_{k=0}^n \arctan \left( \dfrac{1}{1+k+k^2} \right)
Question 1

Soit xx un nombre réel tel que x⩾0x \geqslant 0.
Démontrer que :
arctan⁡(11+x+x2)=arctan⁡(1+x)−arctan⁡(x)\arctan \left( \dfrac{1}{1+x+x^2} \right) = \arctan \left( 1+x \right) - \arctan \left( x \right) .
On rappelle que pour les deux réels xx et yy tels que xy≠1xy \neq 1 :
arctan⁡(x)+arctan⁡(y)=arctan⁡(x+y1−xy)+kπ    avec  k={1sixy>1  et  (x ; y)∈(R+⋆)20sixy<1−1sixy>1  et  (x ; y)∈(R−⋆)2{\color{red}{ \arctan(x) + \arctan(y) = \arctan\left( \dfrac{x + y}{1 - xy} \right) + k \pi \,\,\,\, \mathrm{avec} \,\, k = \left\lbrace \begin{array}{rcl} 1 & \mathrm{si} & xy > 1 \,\, \mathrm{et} \,\, (x\,;\,y) \in \big( \mathrm{R}^{+\star} \big)^2 \\ \\ 0 & \mathrm{si} & xy < 1 \\ \\ -1 & \mathrm{si} & xy > 1 \,\, \mathrm{et} \,\, (x\,;\,y) \in \big( \mathrm{R}^{-\star} \big)^2 \end{array} \right.}}

Correction
On rappelle que pour les deux réels xx et yy tels que xy≠1xy \neq 1 :
arctan⁡(x)+arctan⁡(y)=arctan⁡(x+y1−xy)+kπ    avec  k={1sixy>1  et  (x ; y)∈(R+⋆)20sixy<1−1sixy>1  et  (x ; y)∈(R−⋆)2{\color{red}{ \arctan(x) + \arctan(y) = \arctan\left( \dfrac{x + y}{1 - xy} \right) + k \pi \,\,\,\, \mathrm{avec} \,\, k = \left\lbrace \begin{array}{rcl} 1 & \mathrm{si} & xy > 1 \,\, \mathrm{et} \,\, (x\,;\,y) \in \big( \mathrm{R}^{+\star} \big)^2 \\ \\ 0 & \mathrm{si} & xy < 1 \\ \\ -1 & \mathrm{si} & xy > 1 \,\, \mathrm{et} \,\, (x\,;\,y) \in \big( \mathrm{R}^{-\star} \big)^2 \end{array} \right.}}
Dans le cadre de cet exercice, on a en se souvenant que la fonction arctan⁡\arctan est impaire sur R\mathbb{R} :
arctan⁡(1+x)−arctan⁡(x)=arctan⁡(1+x)+arctan⁡(−x)\arctan \left( 1+x \right) - \arctan \left( x \right) = \arctan \left( 1+x \right) + \arctan \left( -x \right)
On constate que :
∀x∈R+,  −x×(1+x)<0\forall x \in \mathbb{R}^+, \,\, -x \times (1+x) < 0
Ce qui implique que :
∀x∈R+,  −x×(1+x)<1\forall x \in \mathbb{R}^+, \,\, -x \times (1+x) < 1
Ceci implique que :
arctan⁡(1+x)−arctan⁡(x)=arctan⁡(1+x)+arctan⁡(−x)=arctan⁡(−x+1+x1−(−x)(1+x))\arctan \left( 1+x \right) - \arctan \left( x \right) = \arctan \left( 1+x \right) + \arctan \left( -x \right) = \arctan \left( \dfrac{-x + 1 +x }{1 - (-x)(1+x)} \right)
Ce qui nous permet d'écrire que :
arctan⁡(1+x)−arctan⁡(x)=arctan⁡(1+x)+arctan⁡(−x)=arctan⁡(11+x(1+x))\arctan \left( 1+x \right) - \arctan \left( x \right) = \arctan \left( 1+x \right) + \arctan \left( -x \right) = \arctan \left( \dfrac{1}{1 + x(1+x)} \right)
Ce qui nous permet d'obtenir :
arctan⁡(1+x)−arctan⁡(x)=arctan⁡(1+x)+arctan⁡(−x)=arctan⁡(11+x+x2)\arctan \left( 1+x \right) - \arctan \left( x \right) = \arctan \left( 1+x \right) + \arctan \left( -x \right) = \arctan \left( \dfrac{1}{1 + x + x^2} \right)
On a donc bien démontré que :
∀x∈R+,  arctan⁡(11+x+x2)=arctan⁡(1+x)−arctan⁡(x)\forall x \in \mathbb{R}^+, \,\,\arctan \left( \dfrac{1}{1+x+x^2} \right) = \arctan \left( 1+x \right) - \arctan \left( x \right)
Question 2

Déterminer la valeur de SnS_n.

Correction
On a :
Sn=∑k=0narctan⁡(11+k+k2)S_n = \sum_{k=0}^n \arctan \left( \dfrac{1}{1+k+k^2} \right)
En faisant usage de la question précédente, on peut écrire que :
Sn=∑k=0n(arctan⁡(1+k)−arctan⁡(k))S_n = \sum_{k=0}^n \left( \arctan \left( 1 + k \right) - \arctan \left( k \right) \right)
En écrivant les termes de cette somme SnS_n on obtient :
Sn=arctan⁡(1)−arctan⁡(0)+arctan⁡(2)−arctan⁡(1)+⋯+arctan⁡(n)−arctan⁡(n−1)+arctan⁡(n+1)−arctan⁡(n)S_n = \arctan(1) - \arctan(0) + \arctan(2) - \arctan(1) + \cdots + \arctan(n) - \arctan(n-1) + \arctan(n+1) - \arctan(n)
Après avoir effectué toutes les simplifications il reste :
Sn=−arctan⁡(0)+arctan⁡(n+1)S_n = - \arctan(0) + \arctan(n+1)
Or, on sait que arctan⁡(0)=0\arctan(0) = 0 d'où :
Sn=−0+arctan⁡(n+1)S_n = - 0 + \arctan(n+1)
Finalement :
Sn=∑k=0narctan⁡(11+k+k2)=arctan⁡(n+1)S_n = \sum_{k=0}^n \arctan \left( \dfrac{1}{1+k+k^2} \right) = \arctan(n+1)
Question 3

Déterminer la limite ℓ\ell suivante :
ℓ=lim⁡n⟶+∞Sn\ell = \lim_{n \longrightarrow + \infty} S_n

Correction
On a :
ℓ=lim⁡n ⟶ +∞Sn=lim⁡x ⟶ +∞arctan⁡(x)=π2\ell = \lim_{n \, \longrightarrow \, + \infty} S_n = \lim_{x \, \longrightarrow \, + \infty} \arctan(x) = \dfrac{\pi}{2}
Donc :
lim⁡n ⟶ +∞∑k=0narctan⁡(11+k+k2)=π2\lim_{n \, \longrightarrow \, + \infty} \sum_{k=0}^n \arctan \left( \dfrac{1}{1+k+k^2} \right) = \dfrac{\pi}{2}
